West Dighton Christian Church was founded in 1772 under the leadership of elder
Enoch Goff. Our present church meeting house was built in 1796. As a lighthouse on
the hill, West Dighton Christian Church has remained a beacon for the gospel of
God's grace both near and far.
We believe Christianity is more than a religion. It is a relationship with God which is
made possible through saving faith in Jesus Christ as lord and savior. We are
committed to the ministry of evangelism (leading people to Christ) and edification
(helping people grow in their relationship with Christ).
We see this as our primary responsibility in obedience to The Great Commission
found in Matthew 28: 18-20.
"Then Jesus came to them and said, all authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end
of the age"
Let us glorify God and enjoy him forever. 1 Cor. 10:31
